A bit more about me…
I’m a trainer, consultant, mentor, writer and speaker. I’m also Founder and Creative Director at Perro, a brand, design and digital consultancy.
What I Do
I deliver training through masterclasses and workshops, provide strategic business consultancy services, blog and write mini-guides, offer 1-2-1 support and speak at events and conferences around the UK.
Early years
I’ve worked in the brand, design and marketing industry since graduating from University of Northumbria in 1999.
In the early stages of my career, I spent some time in London before working for several North East based consultancies. I was lucky enough to work on exciting projects for clients, including Bass Brewers, Electrolux Group and Proctor and Gamble.
Founding Perro
In 2003 I founded Perro, a brand, design and digital consultancy.
Perro’s approach is purposely very results driven. Our philosophy centres around:
strategic thinking + creative ideas = measurable results.
We’ve helped to launch many successful brands and further enhance the reputations of others. Many of our clients have experienced high growth, and lots of our clients have worked with us for more than 10 years.
Perro has grown organically since launching, and to support our nationwide delivery, we now have a satellite office in London.
Consultancy Work
Since its initial formation in 2010, I’ve been an expert in residence at the Business and I.P. Centre (BIPC), North East. In 2022, the British Library (BIPC National) appointed me to deliver their Going for Growth business support programme.
At Sunderland University, I’m a Sales and Marketing Advisor. I work alongside the Enterprise Place and Digital Incubator business support programmes. In May 2022, I was asked to become an Assistant Tutor in Leadership and Change. In this new role, I’m currently designing programmes I’ll deliver throughout 2023.
Other clients in the education sector include Newcastle University, University of East London (UEL) Enterprise and The University of Westminster (UoW).
I also have external consultancy roles with organisations, including Gateshead College and NBSL. I also work with the Newcastle-based charity Reviving the Heart of the West End
Personal stuff
Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling and exploring. I also like to cook and eat! I’ve been married to Hazel since 2012. In 2016 Oscar arrived!
