Welcome to Mains Cottages

HI I am Sam and I own these cottages with my family. I live in Northumberland with my Husband- Jon, 2 children, 2 Border Collies a cat and a horse – so it is really busy! We love the outdoors and are lucky enough to enjoy the Northumberland Coastline all year round and the dogs love to run along the beaches. We set up these holiday properties in 2013 with my parents and brothers and have had the pleasure of meeting some fabulous guests who return year on year. It gives us great pleasure to be able to share the cottages and Northumberland with all our guests.

This is my brother Stephen and he carries out the general maintenance and gardening of the properties so we keep him busy. He also helps
with greeting our guests so you may come across him during your stay.

From left to right we have Joss, Bella and Lucy and they are the family Border Collies. This is them posing in front of Bamburgh Castle after a long walk on the beach. They have been instrumental at testing all of the fences at the properties to ensure that they are dog proof for our visitors. They also frequently test the homemade dog biscuits and give them the ‘paws’ up every time..

Guest Feedback

Spacious and comfortable house with lovely sea views. Date of Stay: 30 June 2016

We stayed here for a long weekend and didn’t want to leave! The house was spacious, giving plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 teens to chill out and the beds were comfortable. This was also a very good location – quiet with lovely views to the sea and only a short walk to Beadnell Bay and to the Craster Arms (very good food). It didn’t take long to get to Lindisfarne or Alnwick Castle, both excellent places to visit. Finally the welcome cake and wine was a lovely touch – thank you Sam.
